Leyburn-based Cello Electronics, British LCD TV manufacturer, has unveiled its 3D TV range in the United Kingdom. Cello claims that it has launched the UK’s most affordable 3D TV any brand has ever come up with. The brand has worked on the technology, instead of abiding by the same routs Samsung and Sony follows, on the other hand, it has looked into the price factor to offer the most affordable 3D TV.

There was some news concerning the announcement of adoption of FPR (film-type patterned retarder) technology of LG Display by some other TV giants, however, not a single brand confirmed. However, Cello is the only brand that has utilized FPR passive 3D LCD technology in order to overcome the drawbacks and difficulties related to SG technology.

Cello 3D TV comes with 4 pair of polarized glasses, a strategy to reach the families consisting of small and large family members. According to the news sources, Cello would charge £ 19.99 for each additional set of 3D eyewear.

The plus point of using LG Display’s FPR is that it has no drawbacks such as image flickering, overlapping, retention, low response speed, narrow viewing angle, etc. Thus, FPR technology has got the honor of ‘best 3D technology’ last year at a display event held in Beijing.
